Bermuda’s Zeiko Lewis was named as the Men’s Eagles of the Year at the Golden Eagle Awards hosted by Boston College Athletics, with the award “considered the highest honour bestowed upon a Boston College student-athlete.”

In the First Division MVP category, Donavan Thompson, of St George’s, Paul Simons, of X-Roads, Robert Rawlings, of Young Men’s Social Club and Tyrell Burgess, of BAA, are the finalists.

Young Men’s Social Club, promoted back to the top flight after 37 years, have three players named in the West team, strikers Robert Rawlings and Clay Darrell and midfielder Quadir Maynard.

Young Men’s Social Club survived a major test last weekend when they edged X-Roads in a top-of-the-table clash.
